Frequently Asked Questions

Our team is here to support you, but you are not required to work with another designer. We often find our independent designers work so closely with our administrative team that it's almost like having your own assistant.
  • Compensation for members of Gorman's To The Trade enjoy the flexibility to customize their commission schedule based on your individual needs. Sales transactions you complete are paid at 10 percent of the full net retail sales price of the merchandise and those completed with the assistance of a Gorman's designer will be paid to you at 10 percent of half of the net retail sales price of the merchandise.
  • A transaction is complete when the merchandise has been delivered and accepted by you or your customer, as well as paid in full. Commissions are paid during the third week of the month following the delivery of the merchandise and may be adjusted for cancellations or returns.
  • Commission does not apply to Gorman's 3-Day Clearance Center, warehouse sales, purchases of merchandise for designer's own use or gift cards. A minimum deposit of 50 percent is required at time of sale and the remaining balance to be paid in full 48 hours prior to delivery. Other conditions may apply.

Buy as much or as little with Gorman's the compensation program remains the same.

  • Triple inspects furniture prior to delivery
  • Leverages experienced delivery teams employed by Gorman's, not contractors, with lead drivers having more than 10 years of experience
  • Offers the options for warehouse and store pick-ups*

*Warranty may be voided for some merchandise in this case. Please ask before pick-up.

We offer a quality delivery process that fully prepares the customer's product for placement within the customer's home with outstanding success.

Our process includes:

  • Multiple inspections for obvious damage throughout the receiving and delivery process
  • Storing product in bar coded location in climate-controlled warehouse
  • Delivery scheduled around your customer's schedule
